What one unit, and 500 units, of each currency is worth in rupees at the mid market rate. Providers usually give you less than this rate; it is the yardstick to measure their offers against.

Providers

What 500 delivers, provider by provider

No provider by provider quotes are shown yet. Send Home uses documented data feeds only and never copies provider websites. The documented feed of provider quotes it plans to use needs an access key the site does not hold yet. Until then, use the mid market value as your yardstick and check any quote you are given with the quote checker.
How to compare

The amount received is the only number that counts

Every transfer costs you twice: once in the fee and once in an exchange rate below mid market. A provider can advertise no fee and still be the most expensive. These steps take a minute.

  1. Ask each provider the same question: how many rupees will reach Pakistan if I pay this amount, after every fee? That number, the amount received, is the only fair way to compare. Ask for the same amount and the same way of paying out.
  2. Work out what your money is worth at mid market. Multiply the amount by today's mid market rate. For 500 GBP on 8 November 2026 that is 500 × 370.0171 = PKR 185,009.
  3. The gap is the full cost. Mid market value minus the amount received is everything the transfer costs you: the fee plus the margin hidden in the exchange rate. Divide the gap by the mid market value to get it as a percentage.
  4. Watch where the fee sits. Some providers take the fee out of the amount you pay; others add it on top. The amount received settles it either way, as long as you compare the same total paid.
  5. Then check the rest: how the money arrives (bank account, mobile wallet or cash), how long it takes, and that the provider is authorised where you live. A first transfer offer may not apply the second time.

Worked example with made up numbers

Say a provider offers 362.62 rupees per GBP and charges a fee of GBP 3.00, taken from the 500 GBP you pay. GBP 497.00 is converted, so PKR 180,222 reaches Pakistan. At today's mid market rate of 370.0171, your 500 GBP is worth PKR 185,009. The difference, PKR 4,786, or 2.59%, is the full cost of this transfer: PKR 1,110 from the fee and PKR 3,676 from a rate 2.00% below mid market. These numbers are an example, not a real quote.

Quick questions

What is the mid market rate?

It is the midpoint between the prices at which a currency is bought and sold in the wholesale market. Send Home uses the indicative midpoint rate published once a day by ExchangeRate API. Banks and transfer services usually give customers a lower rate; the mid market rate is the benchmark their rates can be measured against.

How many rupees is 500 pounds, dirhams or riyals today?

On 8 November 2026, at the mid market rate, 500 GBP was worth PKR 185,009, 500 AED was worth PKR 37,655 and 500 SAR was worth PKR 36,877. A transfer delivers less than this, because of fees and the margin in the exchange rate.

How do I find the cheapest way to send money to Pakistan?

Ask each provider how many rupees will arrive for the same amount after all fees, and compare each answer with what the money is worth at the mid market rate. The quote with the smallest gap is the cheapest that day. No single provider is cheapest every day or for every amount.

Does Send Home send money?

No. Send Home is an information site. It does not take payments, hold money or pass it on, and it is not paid by any provider.
