266 notifications since 1 January 2020 named vitamins, minerals or other nutrients above safe levels, under 1% of all EU notifications in that time. 69 in the 365 days to 8 November 2026, against 35 in the 365 days before, up 97%. 13% were border rejections and 33% had a serious risk decision.
The origins named most often were the United States (62), Germany (45) and the United Kingdom (27). The product categories named most often were food supplements and dietetic foods (179), feed materials (21) and food additives and flavourings (12). The products named most often were food supplements (155), food supplement capsules or tablets (5) and baby foods (3).
