Search RASFF Window, the European Commission's public database, by product, hazard, country and date, or use this site's finder to filter every notification since 2020 by origin, product category, finding, year and type. You will find the notification, but never the company: the EU does not publish brands or business names.
What can I search for?
- A country of origin, for example India, to see every notification on its products.
- A product category, for example nuts, nut products and seeds, and within it the origins with their own page.
- A finding, for example aflatoxins or Listeria monocytogenes.
- A reference number such as 2026.1234, if a buyer or an authority quoted one to you. Type it into the finder or the search box on the home page.
What will I not find?
The name of the exporter, the importer or the brand. The Commission says RASFF Window does not reveal commercial details such as brands and business operators, and this site never prints the EU's free text, which now and then lets a name slip in. If your company was involved at the border, the authority will have told the operator responsible for the consignment: Article 66(5) of Regulation (EU) 2017/625 requires it to notify the operator of a refusal, and Article 66(3) requires it to hear the operator before ordering measures, unless immediate action is needed.
How far back does it go?
The Commission says searches in RASFF Window are limited to 2020 and later. This site counts from 1 January 2020 and holds 33,043 notifications to 8 November 2026. It reads the list once a day.
What does the official record add?
The network's procedures say the Commission publishes, for each alert, information and border rejection notification, the type of product, the hazards identified, the analytical results if available, the country of origin, the countries the product was distributed to, the notifying country, the basis of the notification, the measures taken and the distribution status. The list this site reads carries the product category, the countries of origin, the notifying country, the type and the risk decision; the hazard comes only through the subject line, and everything else is in the record behind each reference.
How do I read a sentence on this site?
Each notification is one sentence in a fixed order: the type, the notifying country, the finding, the product, the origin, the risk decision, the reference and the date the Commission validated it. The newest in the data reads:
Information for follow up notified by Ireland: undeclared milk and undeclared egg in a prepared dish or snack from China, risk decision serious, reference 2026.9913, validated 6 November 2026.
The finding and the product come from our word lists, never from the EU's own wording; when no word matches, the sentence says a finding outside our word list, or uses the Commission's product category instead of a product name.
What does a search look like?
Take groundnuts from Egypt as an example. Since 2020 there have been 207 notifications on nuts and seeds from Egypt, 86% of them border rejections; the finding named most often was aflatoxins. The page for nuts and seeds from Egypt lists the latest 25, and the finder gives all of them.
How do I match a notification to my shipment?
Compare the date validated, the notifying country, the product and the origin. Most notifications concern one consignment. The official record behind each reference, opened from the link in every sentence on this site, adds the hazard, the measured level where there is one, the measures taken and where the goods went.
How do I keep watching?
Bookmark the page for your origin and product, for example nuts and seeds from Egypt , or sign up for the free weekly digest by product and origin. If a same day email would be worth EUR 29 a month to you, the same form records that.
What if my product appears?
Read the official record first, then the regulation behind the finding. For contaminants that is Regulation (EU) 2023/915, for pesticide residues Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, and the lists of products under extra checks are in Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/1793. This site is a reading aid, not legal advice.
