I build AI that holds up after the demo.
I'm Asif Ejaz, a senior AI engineer in Lahore with 7+ years designing, building and running AI and ML systems across healthcare, cybersecurity and enterprise software. I've shipped 10+ agentic systems to production, an enterprise RAG platform used by 300+ employees, and a phishing classifier that screens millions of emails. I build client projects through CognitionSync, and I'm open to remote roles.

DocuMind
Document intelligence · multi tenant SaaS
Ask questions across a company's documents and get answers with page level citations. Tables and figures are parsed as their own units so numbers come back exact. A confidence gate refuses to answer when the sources do not support it, and a faithfulness check scores every reply.
No release goes out unless the 10 question check passes. When hybrid keyword search made results worse in testing, I kept it switched off and wrote down why.
- Parse once, embed many timesExpensive OCR and vision run once. Chunking and embedding can be rerun cheaply, which is what makes the model comparisons below affordable.
- Tenant isolationEvery search is filtered by organisation and collection, and deleting a document deletes its vectors.
- Full token accountingEvery model call is metered per organisation, with daily caps and an audit trail.

Axiom Square
Digital invoicing software · FBR and PRA · Pakistan
Businesses in Pakistan must send every sales invoice to the tax authorities as it happens. I designed and built the platform that does it: bulk CSV and Excel upload, live tax rule lookups from the FBR API, printable invoices with QR codes, and retries around a government API that goes down without warning.

Odoo FBR connector
Open source Odoo 18 addon · LGPL 3
Sends Odoo invoices to FBR. Every failure is sorted into configuration, authentication, temporary, rejected or unknown, and only temporary ones are retried with backoff. A timeout during a real filing is never resent automatically, because that could file the same invoice twice.

SignalCheck
AI search visibility audit
Checks whether AI crawlers can read a business website and whether Gemini names the business when a customer asks for the best option nearby. The pricing page says plainly what can be guaranteed and what cannot.

Verbatim
Handwriting OCR · traditional computer vision, no LLM
Transcribes photographed handwriting with OpenCV and Tesseract and nothing else, so a spelling mistake in the source survives into the output instead of being quietly fixed. Two changes earned their place by measurement: removing the printed rules of lined paper, which survive thresholding as solid ink and fuse with the letters above them, and upscaling small phone photographs. Together they cut character error by about a fifth on a real corpus. That still leaves it too wrong to trust, which is the point of the demo: it marks every low confidence word rather than handing back clean looking text you have no reason to doubt.

Waybill
Agent demo · logistics reconciliation
Three deliberately messy sources, orders, warehouse and carrier, joined through a documented crosswalk and queried by a tool calling agent that can trace why a specific order is late.
- Tool calling

ShopSage and Voyra
Agent demos · retail and travel
A retail copilot with catalogue search, comparison and order flows, and a travel concierge that labels any price it could not ground in a live search instead of inventing one.

Open source RAG and agents
Public repositories on GitHub
RAG with an evaluation harness, where DocuMind started: hierarchical chunking, swappable embeddings, per collection isolation in Qdrant, and a correctness suite that checks numbers survive retrieval intact.
Retail support agent: searches 360+ products, tracks orders and hands over to a human helpline, with tests.

The model with the best precision did not ship
Four embedding models tested on DocuMind's energy research corpus.

The release check is 10 real questions that must pass before any deploy. The higher precision models never retrieved one table value from a cheat sheet document, so the lower scoring model stayed in production.

SignalCheck audited its own page, then I fixed it
Scores out of 100, before and after four fixes.
The fixes were a missing robots.txt, a missing sitemap, an overlong title, and organization schema that machines could not resolve as its own entity.
