Solunar table for any place: best fishing and hunting times by sun and moon
Test build for Android. Google Play release after testing; until then ads are Google test ads.

Solunar shows the best fishing times and hunting times for any place on Earth, worked out on your phone from the sun and the moon. No account, no internet needed, any species.
How it works
Real screens from the app, filled with example data.

Pick your place and date and Solunar rates the day for fishing or hunting from the sun and moon. It always tells you why, such as the moon phase or a period near sunrise. In the example, the day rates 2 of 4.

A bar across the whole day shows daylight, twilight and night with the major and minor periods on top. You can see at a glance when a period lines up with dawn or dusk, and a red line marks the time now.

Major periods last 2 hours around the moon overhead and underfoot, and minor periods last 1 hour around moonrise and moonset. Each time is shown for your place, with tags when a period covers sunrise or sunset or starts soon.

The next 7 days show each day's rating, moon phase, sunrise, sunset and every major and minor time. Pick the best looking day before you go, and turn on reminders before major periods if you want them.

Log each catch and Solunar records which period it fell in. It compares your results with pure chance, so over a season you can see whether the periods work for you. In the example, 3 of 6 catches came in major periods.

Each catch keeps the species, date, time, place, weight, length and your notes, tagged with the period it fell in. Results are also grouped by species, so you can compare how each one did.
Try it now
This is the real app running in your browser, with nothing to install. Tap around, type your own numbers and see what you get. What you enter stays in this browser.
Pick a city in the demo. The phone app can also use your location and remind you before each period.
What it does
A clean daily solunar table: two major periods of 2 hours around the moon overhead and the moon underfoot, and two minor periods of 1 hour around moonrise and moonset. You also get sunrise, sunset, first and last light (civil twilight), moonrise, moonset, the moon phase and how much of the moon is lit.
Each day gets a rating from 1 to 4, and the app tells you exactly why. The rule is simple and open: 3 points within 2 days of a new or full moon, 2 points within 4 days, 1 point otherwise, plus 1 point when a period comes within 30 minutes of sunrise or sunset. No secret formula and no made up percentages.
The next 7 days with the rating and every major and minor time, so you can plan the trip around the best day.
Turn on a notification 15 minutes before each major period for the next 7 days. Off unless you switch it on.
Log each fish or game with date, time, species, weight, length and notes. Solunar records which period the catch fell in and compares your results with what chance alone would give, so over a season you can see whether the periods work on your water.
Pick from 181 bundled cities across Pakistan, the Gulf, the United Kingdom and Ireland, the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, Scandinavia and more. Or type coordinates for your lake, river or stand, or use your current location once. Times are shown in that place's own time zone, with daylight saving handled.
