Safety recalls for every car in the family, from the public NHTSA list.
Early access. The app works in your browser today; the Android app follows when enough people ask for it.

Recall Watch keeps the family's cars in one list and checks each one against the public NHTSA safety recall list. See what is open, what is urgent and what you have already had fixed.
How it works
Real screens from the app, filled with example data.

Add each vehicle with its model year, make and model. Each card shows the open, urgent and fixed recalls from the public NHTSA list. In the example, the family car is a 2018 Honda Accord.

Open a vehicle to see its open recalls, the most urgent first, with the campaign number and the date NHTSA received the report.

Each recall is quoted as NHTSA publishes it: what is wrong, what can happen and the fix. In the example, recall 20V682000 covers a fuel pump that may fail.

One list shows every open recall across the family, with do not drive and park outside warnings first. Mark a recall fixed and it leaves the list.

Type the model year and the make, and the app suggests the models NHTSA lists with recalls for that year, so the spelling matches.

What it does
Add each vehicle with its model year, make and model, and give it a nickname like Family car. Suggestions come from the makes and models NHTSA lists for that year.
Each car shows how many recalls are open, how many are urgent and how many you marked fixed. Do not drive and park outside warnings come first.
Open a recall to read what is wrong, what can happen and the fix, quoted as NHTSA publishes it, with a link to the recall on the NHTSA website.
Once the dealer has done the repair, mark the recall fixed and it leaves the open list. Your marks stay on your phone.
The app checks each car again when you open it, and marks recalls that appeared since the last check as New.
One list shows every open recall across the family, most urgent first.
A recall for a model may not cover every car of that model, so each screen links to the official NHTSA VIN lookup to confirm yours.

The phone app needs no signal.
What you enter stays on your device.
