Log pool and hot tub water tests, see them against CDC ranges, track upkeep.
Early access. The app works in your browser today; the Android app follows when enough people ask for it.

Pool Logbook is a simple logbook for pool and hot tub water tests. Type what your kit or strips measured, see each reading against a typical range from the CDC where one is given, watch the trend over the season, and keep track of maintenance jobs such as backwashing. No account and no sign in.
How it works
Real screens from the app, filled with example data.

The latest test shows pH against the CDC range and free chlorine against the CDC minimum for your water. In the example, pH 7.5 and free chlorine 2.4 ppm are in the typical range.

Earlier tests list their main readings, and any reading outside its range is counted. In the example, one test had 2 readings outside the range.

The chart shows the last 14 readings with the CDC range shaded. Dots outside the band stand out in a different colour.

Switch the chart to any test you log. For free chlorine the band starts at the CDC minimum, here 2 ppm because the example pool uses stabilised chlorine.

Add jobs such as emptying skimmer baskets or backwashing with how often you do them. Tick a job off in one tap and see what is due next.

Type what your kit or strips measured and leave the rest blank. The app never tells you what to add, only where each reading sits.
Try it now
This is the real app running in your browser, with nothing to install. Tap around, type your own numbers and see what you get. What you enter stays in this browser.
Reminders work only in the phone app.
What it does
Record pH, free and total chlorine, total alkalinity, cyanuric acid, calcium hardness, salt and water temperature. Fill in only what you tested and leave the rest blank.
pH is shown against the CDC range of 7.0 to 7.8, and free chlorine against the CDC minimum for your water: 1 ppm for pools, 2 ppm with cyanuric acid and 3 ppm for hot tubs. Each reading says plainly whether it is inside, below or above that range.
Pool Logbook never tells you what to add or how much. For that, follow the product label, your local rules or a pool professional.
A chart of the last 14 readings of each test, with the typical range shaded, plus the latest, the average, the lowest and highest and the share in range over the last 30 days.
Log free and total chlorine and the app shows combined chlorine, the difference between them.
Add jobs such as emptying skimmer baskets or backwashing the filter with how often you do them. See what is due or overdue, tick it off in one tap and get a reminder on the morning it is due.
Tests and tasks are stored only on this device. Try the example log first, then clear it in one tap.
Made around one job, not a big business suite.
Use it on site, in the shop or on the road.
Everything stays on your device. No account.
