Overtime Book is a simple daily hours log for workers in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Type when you started, when you finished and your break, and see your overtime hours and an estimate of the overtime pay under the rule of the country you work in. Keep a monthly record you can print or share.
How it works

Pick the day and whether it was a work day, rest day or holiday, then set your times. The top card keeps a running total. In the example, the month so far has 22 h of overtime, an estimated AED 397.50.

Set the finish time and your break, and the hours worked, the overtime and the estimated pay update as you go. In the example, 9 h worked gives 1 h of overtime, about AED 12.50.

The month adds up days logged, hours worked, night overtime and rest days worked, with the estimated extra pay. In the example, 16 days and 149 h add up to an estimated AED 397.50.

Days with more than 2 hours of overtime and three weeks over 144 hours are flagged with the UAE article. In the example, the busiest three weeks had 149 hours.

What it does
Pick the day, set the start and finish time with the plus and minus buttons, and set your break. Night shifts that run past midnight are counted correctly. Mark rest days and public holidays you worked.
In the UAE the estimate uses the basic wage plus 25 percent, plus 50 percent between 10 pm and 4 am for workers who are not on shifts. In Saudi Arabia it uses the hourly wage plus 50 percent of the basic wage, and counts every hour on a holiday as overtime.
Rest days and public holidays worked are shown with what the law says you get. Set the Ramadan dates and the normal day becomes shorter, so overtime starts earlier.
The app flags days with more than 2 hours of overtime and three weeks with more than 144 hours under UAE law, and more than 720 overtime hours in a year under the Saudi rule.
