MOT, tax, insurance and service dates for every car at home, with reminders
Early access. The app works in your browser today; the Android app follows when enough people ask for it.

MOT Garage keeps the dates that matter for every car in your household in one simple list. Add each car with its registration, then the MOT, tax, insurance and service dates, and the garage shows what is due next with a reminder before each one.
How it works
Real screens from the app, filled with example data.

Every date for every car at home is sorted by what comes first. In the example, the work van's tax was due 3 days ago, so it sits at the top in red.

Dates coming up soon are marked in amber and the rest sit under Later, so nothing comes as a surprise. Tap any line to open that car.

Each car shows its MOT, tax, insurance and service dates, what is next and the advisories to watch. In the example, the family estate has 2 advisories to watch.

Type dates as day, month and year and see how far away they are. When you renew tax, insurance or a service, one tap moves the date on a year.

See the earliest day you can have the MOT and keep the same renewal date, using the rule on GOV.UK. After a pass, type the test date and the app suggests the new expiry.

Type the advisories from your MOT result and tick them off when they are fixed. Deal with the rest before the next test comes round.

This is the real app running in your browser, with nothing to install. Tap around, type your own numbers and see what you get. What you enter stays in this browser.
Reminders work only in the phone app.
What it does
Add up to a handful of cars, vans or a second car for a teenager. Each one keeps its own dates and notes, and the garage view sorts everything by what is due first.
Anything past its date is marked overdue, anything in the next 30 days is marked soon, and the rest is listed as later, so you can see the whole year at a glance.
Turn on reminders and choose 30, 14 or 7 days before, plus a reminder the day before. They are local notifications on your phone, at 9 am.
See the earliest day you can have the MOT and keep the same renewal date, worked out from the rule on GOV.UK. Add the first registration date and the app works out the first MOT for a newer car.

Type the advisories from your MOT result, tick them off when they are fixed, and keep an eye on the rest before the next test.
No account and no sign in. Your cars and dates stay on your phone. MOT Garage is not connected to any government service: the dates are the ones you type.
